Enlighten MUN Online Programme - EIS Chinchwad

The Enlighten MUN Online programme was conducted by SkillSphere Education for students of EIS Chinchwad between the 6th and 12th of July, 2020.

A programme that has been conducted at EIS since 2013, this year the programme transitioned online and over 30 students of Grades 6, 7 and 8 participated in it. Focusing on the development of essential skills while also training students for participation in Model UN conferences, the programme spanned across 7 days with sessions of 1.5 hours over the weekdays, and 2.5 hours over the weekend.

Very interactive and activity-oriented in nature, students progressively learnt different skills such as the art of introduction, opinion development, group discussions, debating, spontaneity and other important soft skills. These skills are not only important for excelling in MUN conferences but in regular life as well. The first 4 days of the sessions focused on the development of these skills before the sessions progressed to the concept of Model UN conferences.

The last 3 days of the programme were dedicated to comprehensively training students for participation in Model UN conferences. Students were taught Model UN procedure, the structure of the United Nations, and after that, they participated in a full fledged MUN conference as delegates of different countries, discussing an issue of international importance.

In order to ensure maximum personalization of the programme, batch sizes were limited to 15-16 students per batch. Students also received certificates, and personalized feedback reports at the end of the sessions.

Extremely well received by all participants, Enlighten MUN Online was a huge success!
